What happened at Ole Miss doesnt matter
Tap the brakes, G - I'm not saying and I don't even think the CheeriOs are saying that.
I'm saying it is irrelevant to what is happening at LSU. The time to consider what happened to Ole Miss under O was when we hired him to be the DL coach, then promoted him to RC, then named interim HC and now the "permanent" ( ) head coach.
NOTHING that happened at Ole Miss during that time has any bearing on what is happening to LSU now. If he won 80% of his games during that time, that would be irrelevant, too. If it was Jimbo Fisher as the HC right now and we had lost to MSU 37-7 - NOBODY would be giving 2 shits about his championship at FSU, period.
Now, maybe it justifies a shorter leash for O - I can't dispute that - but it is irrelevant. If he wins out, nobody will care, and if he loses out, no one would care about any successes he had in the past.
That's the important thing to remember about O's Ole Miss era.
