re: LSU's Endowment Is Very Low

I'm bumping this thread.

I started donating to the LSU Foundation weekly since reading this thread and investigating the Foundation itself. 8 months after I started donating, I finally received a call from the Foundation.

It was a student worker who called me. He read me the script, and I humored him. Basically asking if I could donate more.

I told him I would look into it.

My issue here is that I have never received any information on donating to the University until I actually started donating to the University. I graduated from LSU in 2000 (with Shaq). In 18 years, LSU has never contacted me. They have never let me know that the endowment needs help. I never realized that the LSU Foundation was a thing until I saw this thread back in September.

I really wish LSU would get their house in order, and do a better job of selling itself. Contact the alum. Let them know that there is a need here.
