I didn't know Cholly Mac LSU football, but I did experience 80's LSU football. And because of that, to the contrary of the point you're trying to make, I'm impatient and really don't want to see LSU have to go through yet another period of peaks/valleys to abortions to mediocre back to abortion. It's completely unnecessary. If it's time to get honest and pull the plug and hit the reset switch, it's time to do it. Period. Why do some of you feel the norm is to do things the hard way and go through years and years of frustration?

This I can jump aboard with. To that same point, some of the teams who own us right now will fall hard once certain coaches (who will not be named) retire. So if we absolutely have to go through a decline (nobody ever has to go through it) - then I'm glad we went ahead and got started. That's about the only silver lining I can come up with.
