of course in the military you don't get fired. But bosses have ways of getting rid of people they don't want around.
I was once sent to a base that had some real dickheads working there. People who had been there a long time and essentially thought they were part of their own Army. Anyway, there was this one particular dickhead. He followed UCMJ guidelines, but just barely. I just didn't want him around, but upon discussing it with others learned that this guy was a total dickhead willing to confront anyone , superior officer or not. Confrontation doesn't serve anyone. So I didn't even talk to the guy about it . I had him transferred, had all his belongings shipped to his new duty station and cancelled his security pass so that the next day he simply couldn't get in the building.
He had to go to security , was directed to personal and informed that he had been transferred. Nice and tidy.
