I'm an architect and I wouldn't hire me to do anyone's dock :). But what I would do is drive my boat around where I'm gonna build and look for other docks I like or at least dock features. Make a list of what u want, take pics. Then find a guy in the area that builds docks n talk it out with him. He'll probably do a sketch for you to confirm scope, design, & budget.

Makes sense, drawing lake down 3'-5'. I could kayak around and look at design of docks that have really held up. Not looking for a complicated deck. Appreciate your time.
