I mean, they just announced it yesterday, so he's not carelessly ignorant on the issue. Plus it's temporary.

And the other two still cost $10.

From what I've heard the price differs by state but I could be wrong. When I froze my credit earlier this year Equifax was free while Experian and Transunion were $10. To do a temporary thaw Equifax was again free and Experian and Transunion were $8. It does suck that you have to pay for something like this though.
