I think it looks cool, but I would miss the TouchID. Seems like a pain in the arse to hold the phone up to your face to unlock it each time.

Currently have an old 5 with a cracked screen

Im buying it for the social status. Have fun pulling out your outdated pos iPhone or a pleb android in front of everyone while they laugh their arse off and make comments about how long have you had that thing.

I already have one. It's called the Galaxy S8 and I got it six months ago for 800 bucks.

Nope, not me. What's all the fuss about? It's a game they're playing with you since you don't use even half of the features. $1000 bucks for what? Another status symbol I guess.

Samsung phones fall apart and blow up though. I rather spend a little extra and have a phone last 4-5 years.

About the only thing keeping me on iPhone at this point is entropy since Droid appears to have fixed most if not all the flaws I hated about the last one I had around 6 years ago.

The pain in the arse of switching formats becomes less of a problem as the price points between the two get wider.

No way am I going to spent $999 for a cell phone. $599 was excessive last time. I hate to switch to android, but I am not going to pay for an apple logo.

frick these new cell phone prices.

They're going to end up pricing out most of their base. The iPhone 6 did everything you need a phone to do and it has a good enough camera to not need to upgrade. Problem is, it seems like they make the things with an internal life of 2~ years so you have to keep buying the new one. He'll, original iPhone did all you need

You spent $800 on a Samsung and criticize $999 for an iPhone?

Does that include free grenade capability?

I don't care that much about the price. The thing that turns me off for it is the fact that they completely removed the thumbprint opening for it.

Even if the face scanner is 100% on-point, I still have to get my phone all the way out of my pocket and up to my face before I can unlock it? Really? With the current gen my finger is already on the button and opening it long before it makes it to my face, saving tons of time. I realize this sounds super first world But to me this is a major design oversight. They should have just copied Samsung and put a thumbprint scanner on the back.

Biggest fanboi on the board has arrived. Apple marketing is targeted right at technologically ignorant people like this.
