If you are a white collar career type that is in a profession where you can move, it is retarded to still be in Louisiana under the age of 32. The infrastructure is shite, race relations are falling apart, tax rates are skyrocketing, and you cannot trust these politicians to not rob you blind.

If you can find a job locally, go for it. A big problem is that so many of the best career paths take people out of state - particularly to Houston and Dallas.

Baton Rouge needs to focus on redeveloping areas that did not flood. TIF incentives, infrastructure investment, and public safety improvements are critical to enhance those areas. They've had success in downtown, but now need to expand out from there.
