He also researched debilitating and permanent shoulder injuries to his dominant side so he and the North Vietnamese could scheme it up to give him a permanent disability and reminder to the American people of his service.

Everybody who didn't go to Vietnam didn't "dodge the draft". If EVERYBODY went what the frick were they going to do with 10 million guys in the fricking army, which is the number of draft age people at the time.
