The problem is people won't let him die in the gutter, and the rest of us will pick up the bill at the ER, or the CDU.
Maybe drugs should be legal, but how much would it cost us to deal with the effects? More than it costs now or less?
But it will cost something, we all know that.
That's why I'm a big proponent of states rights. Let's study Colorado or Oregon in ten years or so and see how it worked there. That should prove one way or another what the effects of marijuana legalization are, but it still doesn't tell you what legalizing cocaine, heroin and LSD would do.
