Mexico ‘profoundly laments’ end of DACA

Hmmm
quote:
The Mexican government said Tuesday it “profoundly laments” the Trump administration’s decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. A statement released by the Secretariat of Foreign Relations said that while Mexico recognizes that U.S. immigration policy “corresponds exclusively” to the U.S. government, it “cannot ignore” the fact that thousands of Mexican citizens will be “potentially affected by the decision announced today.”
quote:
The Mexican government instructed its ambassador in Washington, Gerónimo Gutierrez, to begin lobbying Congress to find a permanent legislative solution for DACA recipients.
quote:
The Mexican statement added that Mexico’s 50 consulates in the United States — the largest consular network in the world — will defend recipients of DACA, who are often referred to as “Dreamers” after another piece of legislation.

To that end, the Mexican government announced a series of benefits for returning Dreamers, including a job bank, scholarships and a youth credit program.

Mexico taking care of Mexicans? Interesting idea.

Maybe they should send us a check to cover their expenses.

It must suck to know that neither Mexico nor the United States wants you.

Wonder why Mexico doesn't have a dreamers program for Americans?

You'd think, with all these highly educated and wonderfully employable DACAs potentially returning to Mexico, the Mexican business community would be ecstatic.

I don't understand why anyone even focuses on what Mexico thinks about this. The fact that they are lamenting the policy change should tell you all you need to know about Mexico.
They don't want to have to provide for their own so they encourage them to come here illegally

The Mexican government should just shut up about illegal immigration into the US. Imagine if 15 million Americans illegally crossed the border and took up residency in their country. They wouldn't stand for it and neither should we.

We resent that the US is ending handouts that act as incentives for our citizens to flee across the border illegally to raise children with handouts paid for by the american taxpayer.

Maybe we could send Mexico 800,000 of our "best" citizens in exchange. You know, the ones that suck our resources without contributing. At least Mexicans have a work ethic.

I'm wondering. What's Mexico's immigration policy in similar situations?

Oh. So, NOW the Mexican govt is willing to pay for them.

As a white American, I can't imagine being so heartbroken over being sent to live in a country full of white Americans.
I don't understand Mexicans.
