LOL, 27 points with that kind of offensive output?

We should have easily scored 45. Just pointing out the truth.

First live game action with a new offense...and every player on the field knew exactly where to line up and shift pretty much the whole game. Quite a contrast from the past.

Bottom line is the team did exactly what it needed to do to secure a solid victory. Could it have been better and were some points left on the board sure. I will never complain about a 27 point shutout.

10 drives, 1 punt, no TO and dominated time of possession. Throw in a missed chip shot fg should be 30 points.
Wtf else do you want ? Go watch Oregon play or wait till October for basketball if you want to see 70 points a game

It was a dominating win especially with 13 players missing.
However, BYU may be just plain BAD. Tight game until the 4th quarter with Portland State.
Enjoy the win. One game at a time.

The same could be said about any team who was held to FG tries on drives. It's football. Penalties, bad execution, good play by the other team all are part of the game.

There will be reason to bitch this season. This game is not one of them. Just enjoy the fact that the offense looked pretty good and will get better and the defense was lights out without 3 starters.

And this is where you are wrong wrong wrong. We COULD have scored 45, not should.

If LSU would have gained anything without losing something then LSU WOULD have scored 45. But it wasn't needed.

No, I am not saying the coaches purposely held the score down. What they did was run what was working which kept the ball out of BYU's hands and doesn't show our fancy plays that other teams game practice stopping.

People complain when we got stuffed at the goal line on 4th down as being a bad play call. That just shows stupidity of the complainer. BYU line was over matched all game by our line. We have a 4th and short. Easiest play to execute that they haven't been able to stop all night was a straight up the gut run.

77 missed his block badly which was totally uncharacteristic for the night. Basically it was a freak accident that stopped us from scoring. If you really really want to score badly in that situation against BYU you run that exact play every time.
