If successful, LSU will begin to draw the kind of QBs Les Miles could never draw. The failure of the past LSU offenses was directly due to Miles’ inability to transition from a 60s style scheme to today’s open spread.

To be fair Miles was able to recruit talent it's just that the talent didn't develop very much

Thing is, the offense you see this year may be drastically different in a couple of years. If Canada's as good as we hope he is, he'll be up for HC jobs in no time and he'll be out of here.

Did we fail to recruit top QBs?
Were the QBs we targeted top notch?
Did we fail to develop our QBs properly?

I'm not sure, but suspect a combination.

Canada is going to be successful. He just is. I would agree that his success will determine the "type" of QB which LSU attracts.

I'm convinced even Drew Brees would have failed in Miles system.

What kind of qb has les not had?

Mett = pro style passer

Harris = dual threat qb

Is there another?

Miles recruited highly ranked QBs for a louisiana school. You've got to remember that lee, jefferson, mett, Jennings and Harris were all 4 star guys. Given that LA doesn't produce QBs, I'd say that's pretty damn good.

The problem was scheme and development.

Miles recruited great QBs. He just couldn't develop them worth a shite.

Straight up, those of y’all who are downvoting this are in total fricking denial. This is 1,000,000,000% true.

Think about that tomorrow afternoon when you’re watching Feleipe Franks playing at Florida.
