Yes,
Three grand-daughters in 5th, 7th and 8th grade. Most homework, and lots of it, is done on computer but the "research" that is done could be done in class more times than not. We've provide tax funds for Smart Boards and Smart TV's but they still have to come home and spend hours looking things up to complete practice tests. All they seem to do is practice taking tests and I'm sure it's all about the LEAP scores for the state school rankings. What happened to learning first??? Don't even get me started on how math is done these days! I have a Finance Degree and I have to throw out the way I learned math. Crazy!

Exactly. In an effort to hold schools and teachers accountable, they are greatly diminishing the educational experience. I have nothing against accountability, but the testing and practice testing is way out of hand.
