Ok, frick this asshat. It's true that the Orgeron hire was a gamble. He does, however, have successful P5 HC experience at two schools (albeit on interim basis). Tom Herman is a good coach but he cannot boast the same.

And this clown doesn't mention that our recruiting class stayed very strong in spite of the coaching change. Nor does he mention that Orgeron only had to fire and replace three assistants to make the whole staff "his own". How many of Strong's Texas guys did Herman keep as opposed to those he brought in himself?

Orgeron was dealt a winning hand, with little doubt. And he has made all the right moves since getting the HC job officially. I know it wasn't a sexy hire. It wasn't even the hire I wanted. But it's what we got and I support him until he gives me a reason not to, just like Miles did. Tired of hacks shiteing all over the guy before he even has his first game as LSU HC under his belt.

Rallying the troops on an interim basis is much different. You don't have the opportunity to mess up hires like Mickey Joseph when you're the interim. Also, our recruiting has been very poor thus far for the class of 18.

Yea, because Herman was actually building a successful program at UH and bringing in some big recruits.

Orgeron was handed everything. Thus, your statement is wrong. It's actually O that can't boast of the same accomplishments that Herman has, already, as a young coach.

Interim doesn't count.

True, O did a good job as interim at both schools. But an interim steps in for the prior coach, with his players, staff, etc. Interim is more about keeping a team emotionally intact. A permanent HC is in charge of the entire program.

Now, O has done a good job since getting the permanent gig, so I give him credit. But it's all about results on the field.
