re: LSU is the more talented team and is a title contender this year but that doesn't mean BYU

You're probably right- doesn't he have a winning record as a HC? But he keeps getting let go. I figured from what I read he didn't have great recruiting classes when it was his turn to be the lead guy. What was this years class like for LSU versus past years?

Lol. You are trolling.

Even though you're a fan man, and I totally get that, even in your wildest dreams is there anyway you think BYU scores 30+ pts vs LSU's D, bruh lol..

As an interim HC he's won a lot. Not his stint at ole piss.

Last year he kept LSUs class together as he finished at an underrated #7 class in the country. I say under rated, well because you'll find out Saturday why I say underrated.
He has a #11 class so for in 2018 with a down year in La. It's the worst La class we've had in a good while. He's known as a strong closer and we have 10 spots left to fill. With a decent year on offense, LSU could easily close in the top 7 to 5.
He turned the USC program around as interim HC, then came to LSU as the DL coach. He proceeded to immediately shore up our DL, and he brought our sack numbers up in his first year, and every year after. After Les Miles was fired he was hired as interim HC at LSU and we proceeded to break offensive records immediately after he was hired. His record as interim was 13-4. The problem LSU had on offense wasn't moving the football, it was getting into the endzone with the offensive scheme we had last year.
We lost to Wisconsin 16-14 by throwing an INT driving while in FG position. We lost to Auburn 18-13 again while driving and in the redzone, throwing for a TD but having it called back. We lost to Alabama 10-0, but the game was tied in the 4th quarter 0-0. Alabama made 2 more plays then we did. We lost to Florida 16-10 again on the goaline about to score but again our scheme wasn't very good in this area. Canada's scheme is perfect for these situations and our defense is much more deep this year to do things we couldn't last year.
Scores before O took over:
LSU 14 Wisconsin 16
LSU 34 Jacksonville State 13
LSU 23 Miss State 20
LSU 13 Auburn 18
Scores after O took over:
LSU 42 Mizzou 7
LSU 45 Southern Miss 10
LSU 38 Ole Miss 21
LSU 0 Alabama 10
LSU 38 Arkanasas 10
LSU 10 Florida 16 turned the ball over 3 times in the Red Zone.
LSU 54 Texas A&M 39
LSU 29 Louisville 9
There was a huge difference in preparedness of LSU once O took over. We moved the football on everyone but Bama with ease, but couldn't score against Florida because of offensive scheme. That will be fixed. The defense in 2016 was good but should be much better in 2017. If LSU does struggle like you are hoping it will likely be for a drive or two and at the most a full quarter or half. LSU only needs a good half to win this game. LSU has the ability to score 30 or more in (1) half easily.
His OM stint as HC didn't go well at all except for the recruiting dept. It's well known that he evaluated talent at a high level while at OM. After he was let go at OM, Houston Nutt took them to the Cotton Bowl 2 years in a row with Orgerons players. Ole Miss was not a great program when he took over plus he knows that he made BIG mistakes in his first HC'n job. He has changed things at his last two interim jobs and was successful so he's taken that to LSU now. From all reports this team is in the best shape it's ever been, and they are more crisp then they've ever been. LSU has more talent and depth then in the last 3 years. There are reasons LSU is confident. These reports are coming from a very cautious media here in Baton Rouge. Good luck BYU.
