re: Washer backing up kitchen sink

Main drain is stopped up or really slow.

A washing machine pumps water out really fast and will cause toilets/tubs/sinks to fill up when there is stoppage.

Could also be city water lines overloaded with flooding.

Pretty sure storm drains and sewer lines do not run together.
