Is there a character you believe could've been much better played by a different actor/actress? There's only one I just can't stomach. It's a tremendous production and it's irritating when I see this character on the screen. What's worse: it's a major character.

I'll tell you the the most well-cast: Varys. Tywin is right there with him.

Euron really sucks

Idris Elba should have been Ned Stark

Ned Stark.

Sean Bean dying in a film is just too unbelievable.

If this thread existed a few years ago JGL would have been recommended for each miscast role

Danaerys. Her acting is atrocious, and it makes me actively root against what should be a sympathetic character.

Vast majority of the show is really well cast. Loras Tyrell and Euron Greyjoy are the only gripes I have.

Daenys has been a lot better this season, and played the part of an innocent in season 1 pretty well... but wasn't up to the task in most of the seasons in between.

Ser Jorah really should have been a much physically bigger man than was cast, but has otherwise played his part very well.

The Mountain is probably the hardest person to cast in GOT but I share the belief that the first mountain was the best of the bunch. The armor they used for Ser Robert this season also did him no favors - it greatly diminishes his physicality.

Overall there have been a lot more hits than misses with the casting. Tyrion, Jaime, Varys, Stannis, Olenna, Margery, Bron, Barristan, the Hound, Ned, Lysa, Robin, Arya, Brienne, the Red Priestesses, and Rob were all very well cast.

Robert. I actually think the character did a fine job but I pictured him being much bigger. Gendry also should have been bigger

I think Danny was miscast. Yes, she's hot. But she doesn't instill fear or respect in my mind when she's trying to. I'm gonna to also go ahead and say her acting is not on par with some of the others. Emilia just doesn't have presence. Imagine if someone like a young Cate Blanchett played the part.

I have to go with those that said young Ned Stark and Rhaegar.

Young Ned has an extremely punchable face.

Rhaegar looked exactly like his weasel looking little brother. I imagined him to look a little bigger. Not as big as Chris Hemsworth as some see him though.

On the subject of Rhaegar, i would love to see what really happened at the Trident. I suspect that Rhaegar injured Robert and then spared him to stop the Rebellion. But Robert finding out that Lyanna really was in love with Rhaegar was too much and Robert killed him with a Hammer to the chest after Rhaegar spared him.

If they could cast Rhaegar as a sympathetic figure who was also a great warrior, i would love to see this battle done in a flashback.
