from looking at your other posts I'm guessing Chambers County?

Anahuac NWR gave me an asswhooping Saturday when I picked a pond far off the road never having scouted the refuge. Thought it would be a solid ground walk out so I took a big bag of dekes and a bucket and never made it the 700 yds to my pond stashing myself in some reeds giving space to the other headlapms. They were flying pretty good, but I was just trying to stay out of the way at that point. Pretty cool to see the frozen over marsh grass, but took water in my bucket and sweat too much to start so it was a little wet and chilly.

I think the trick out there is staying light or picking a pond that's kayak accessible.
