You and other TK folks will never know the pain of having to manually search planets for resources for hours. It wasn't really until Crota I think where they started really including those as rewards for activities.

I would complain about how the game was currently set up as far as how it tracked quests or how they would even list them, and all I ever heard was "IT'S WAY BETTER THAN IT USED TO BE"
