This episode kinda sucked. They crammed so much stuff into the episode it just lost all sense of flow.
Why is Arya being such a count?
I feel like criticisms such as bad writing and plot armor have been thrown around far more often than they should be. However, this episode doubled down on that.
I don't think it was a terrible episode. However, this episode had the first real battle of ice and fire, and it had some powerful material to work with. It should have been much, much better.

I thought the way all the wights made by the WW Jon killed shattered when he died was a great visual. And it does make logical sci-fi/fantasy/horror sense.
But it got me to wondering: were there any wights around when the previous WWers were killed by Sam, Jon and Meera? I don't remember seeing any shatter. I guess there were none close by that were made by that those particular WWers. The lazy bastards.
