Based on them being enormous. We're talking about a giant beast propelling itself with slow moving wings. I suppose they might learn to fall in a controlled way like a slower peregrine, but not propel themselves horizontally at break neck speeds like a swift.
Anyway. That's not really my primary complaint about this episode. My complaint is the whole episode was one big deus ex maguffin.

It's possible, but with Dany grabbing onto their back, no. It would blow her face off after being on them for 6-7 hours.
