Generally speaking the censorship of free speech by state and local governments is usually a sign of terrible things to come. Its not a good thing.
Even worse reshaping history based on restricting free speech has much more in line with fascism than democracy.
Eta: Why is it that some people think that some ideas think the ability tk think freely is too dangerous?

Yep, we have no real problems in this country. Human nature to is manufacture them when they are absent.
