it's not dumb because even if you took Saban off of Alabama, you'd still have a roster completely made up of #1 recruiting classes to fall back on for the next few years.
People don't realize how much talent we have lost over the last few years. This is not the LSU of old with NFL talent all over the field. Outside of Guice how many sure fire NFL picks do we have on offense? Defense is a little better but still past Key you've got a handful of high potential guys but nowhere near as many as we used to have.
We have 2 elite players and an elite DC and after that it's nothing but maybes and question marks. That's a dangerous situation to be in.

Dude that's almost every team. At least we have 2 sure fire All Americans, not every team can say that right now. So if or when we have more break out like Chark, Clyde, Moreau, Drake, Sullivan we will be considered stacked. You don't need a team full of big time stars to win games. All you need are players who can do thier jobs and have the physical tools you would need to create match up problems. LSU absolutely has that.
I think Ducre will play a good bit in this offense and can be effective. We have big tall TEs and WRs for 3rd down or Redzone plays. We have a QB who is good with the ball.
They will need to put it all together but other than that I'm not worried. We have the athletes to compete with anyone. You guys are going to see when it's put on the field. Our defense is loaded with future NFL talent and I mean loaded. Defense is going to be nasty this year. Aranda loves this place.

I guess you don't think chaisson, delpit, Vincent, Jackson, tolliver will be any good since everyone else seems to think the exact opposite. And what the hell man Devin White looks like a freaking monster. He looks NFL ready right now. How do you not think these players will not be anything special?
