Charleston is a fantastic small city and with an incredibly vibrant food scene. I've been there about a half-dozen times over the past 2-3 years on business.
So most of the time I'm 'tagging along' or I just ask and go where the local workers recommend. I don't keep track of all the places but we did go to Edmund's Oast last January.
Every place we've been has been good. But nothing great. The only memorable thing was the corn bread from Edmund's Oast.
Let me just summarize my experience like this: If you've ever eaten in/around NOLA, and you go to Charleston expecting it to be on that level, prepare to be disappointed.
