The main issue is the public sees "Bay" boat with a better price tag than fiberglss and think they can head south. Its a BASS boat hull made with .125" alum. It has a slight V and a narrow beam, low sides and even lower transom, no trim tabs (could be added but never seen one with them)----everything a real bay boat has this doesn't.
Its a bass boat with a CC. Its a good boat for freshwater and pond hopping in the marsh so if thats what you do it will be great. enjoy it.

If you fish the coast come out there and see how many there are. next to none. Rod lockers and stern storage is a joke. No place for more than 1 ice chest. 30gal tank won't cut it for a 2 day trip.

ETa: my FIL is on his second xpress 18' bass and only fishes leeville for reds. It works great for him. I had an H20B and fishing the coast was tough. took a few waves over the bow while around last island. The transom had less than 8" freeboard with a 115hp on a 10" jack plate

I have the 22 with a 175 and it works fine. The only time I have an issue is in a cross chop in 2+ seas. There is a HUGE difference in the ride between the 20 and 22. The 22 also allows for 2 ice chests if needed up front. The 32 gallon tank will take you further than you probably want to go in a day. I average 5-5.5 mpg a trip. Like the others said though, if you plan on going offshore a lot look for a glass boat. If it's only a couple times and you mainly fish marsh go for it. Easy clean up, shallow draft, plenty fast.
