and you are the one acting like i support the notion that we have to whitewash everything we do in our everyday lives to appease a few nutjobs
this was objectively a poor decision. this isnt like ESPN threw up the words "draft auction" on a screen and people flipped out about it. that is illogical. ESPN shouldnt have to change their wording around because of perceived offense when there logically was none
this was totally different. you had an auction set up, with an auctioneer, and then you had bidding on players, some of whom were black. in this single setting, some people are going to take it a certain way and they arent illogical to do so. ESPN could have easily kept the premise of "how much you would pay in an auction draft for this player" and not gone down this road. but they did, and they should have seen this reaction coming
