Me and the wife(mid 40s) no kids, headed to Branson MO for the weekend. I've read all the Tripadvisor recs, wanted to see what everyone would recommend as do not miss attractions/restaurants

I liked silver dollar city when I went probably 8 years ago. the cave tour under the amusement park was pretty cool. Top of the rock golf course is pretty cool if you both golf

The museum by the college is great. Catch the hatchery.
Rent a pontoon boat to hit the lake. Not that expensive.
There's a steamboat ride with music and dinner that's good.
Silver DC is fun.
The rib crib is good food.

When my grandparents retired in the 90's they built a vacation house up there and eventually moved to Hollister permanently in 2000. I spent my entire childhood going up there multiple times a year and spent many summers in the area.
Any questions you have, I can probably answer...

So, did Branson x3 days, long story short, there's not a lot to do if your 40ish, retired yes and if you like a hanky scenery with mediocre shows, no big name entertainers, food wasn't bad at all, 3 really good BBQ places, couple food all American food joints, Silver Dollar City is great if you like thrill rides, couple good museums.

I'm not really big on shows but the Sights and Sounds theatre is awesome. It's biblical plays, when we went it was Moses It really is a must see. I'm not the every Sunday church guy( I should go more) but it's the best thing we done in Branson. Order your tickets online ( seating chart)
