He had a decent enough rookie season, but save for 165 yard in back to back carries, he was an average to below average running back.

I agree, he wasn't sensational. But he was good. He definitely wasn't below average.

His YPC also come against an always stacked box and as someone who watched every Jags game, he made a lot of extra yards I'm not sure others could have made

Jacksonville's OLine hasn't been the best at blocking this year, but LF has been a lil disappointing to me to in the regard that he just isn't patient enough to find a hole to run through. A lot of times this season I've noticed he's just barreled straight ahead like he would do against Alabama, and sometimes holes where there if he had looked for them. If there isn't a giant hole there for him to run through he just does that, just jams it up in there, he has to get better at finding those holes. I know he isn't Leveon Bell, to be patient enough to wait for the hole to develop, but he can do better I know. And he was also still hurt this season too, I guess that LSU injury still lingered. But he can be explosive when just bursts out and runs over defenders turning on elite speed for a big back, I expect him to be much better next season now that he knows what to expect.

I didn’t mean he had a below average season, I just meant that for parts of the season he was below average, although that’s compared to the NFL as a whole and not the entirety of the season—which means he had a decent rookie season.
