Anyone use Pro V1 Practice Balls?

I just stumbled upon these on Amazon for $30/dozen. (After seeing them on Titleist's instagram page).
According to Titleist they're exactly the same as "retail" Pro V1's with a blemish caught by their scanners. One step up from an X-out.
Seems like a good deal at 40% off. Plus maybe I'll get some cred for looking like I stole them from a really, really fancy country club.

Pro V1 Practice golf balls are conforming products that differ only due to a cosmetic blemish such as paint, ink or registration of stamping. Pro V1 Practice golf balls do not have any construction or performance deficiencies.

I have a dozen that I use to practice putting and chipping with...I wouldn't play with them, but you could try and draw a line over the practice stamp and pass it off that way.

Really good for working on your game and playing casual rounds.
Not permissible for tournaments.

So if they meet all other performance requirements but they get a stamping on them that says "PRACTICE" and that makes them illegal for tournament play? Just because there is a cosmetic blemish?
What if the marking said "blemish" instead?
