We're not going to be hurting for DB's of any kind for literally years down the road. Joseph is out and another blue Chip stud of a player will take his slot. If I looked at LSU's depth chart and also just saw a guy in Savion Smith who was ranked as a consensus top 5 safety transfer out over playing time....I'd probably look elsewhere too. Delpit and Monroe are the next in line to man those 2 safety spots for the next couple years. Stevens just switched to wideout because he's too talented to not get playing time, but also because the guys in front of him are that good and are freshmen. I'd rather not have guys who are afraid of the competition and either transfer out or decommit because they aren't just going to start day 1. That's what this is. This kid probably saw that it would be a couple years before he saw significant playing time and folded, to that type of man I say good riddance.

People keep saying this when this class is very underwhelming, and that's the truth no matter how you want to spin it. O was supposed to be this elite recruiter, he needs to go out and recruit elite athletes, not sleepers. Yeah, it's August and we don't know how this class will end up, but it isn't looking like a top 10 finish. Let this happen a few years in a row, and see how mediocre the product on the field becomes. We want LSU to be back to an elite level, we need elite depth.
