I wasn't born, but my Dad has a good story. He and his friends were at Ole Miss at the time and went up to Memphis to get drunk on Beale Street. They get hammered and then decide to go try to party with Elvis. They go out to Graceland and a bunch of fangirls are at the gate as Elvis goes in waving at them.
They head back to Oxford, and my Dad's friend gives him a call the next day to check out the news. My dad was present for this photo:
