Back to what you were saying with this, i'm glad that some of the sour breweries are staying away from the uber sour tart profile. I couldn't drink any of Cascade's stuff. Way too sour and it gave me hellacious heartburn. I found avery's raspberry sour to also be a little too tart, as well as NOLA's lowerline (though i havent had it in awhile).

Jester King, Jolly Pumpkin, Wicked Weed, and Crooked Stave round out my top sour US breweries right now, of the ones i've tried. Only able to get JP here in Louisiana, but their stuff is fantastic.

The cascades I've had haven't been too tart for me, but I agree with you on Nola's. Although I do think their sours taste great, they are hard to drink sometimes.

I love a good gose, or Sofie/saison with crawfish.
