Louisiana (not necessarily LSU) has another tie to the tiger. The Flying Tigers of WWII fame were formed and led by Claire Chenault who grew up in Gilbert, LA. His descendants still travel to China on a regular basis where they are treated like royalty for defending Asia against the Japanese invasion.
