I've never watched this. The first season was all the hype on this board then crickets. Is it worth the watch?

First season is really great, it's mainly because of the chemistry between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson (and those Dadarrio goodies for sure) and how great of a performance Matthew put up, his character is intriguing. The plot line keeps you interested as well, it's pretty good.

Season 2 was a shitfest trying to capitalize on the success of the first one, they just hired other A-List actors (Colin Ferrell, Rachel McAdams, Vince Vaughn) thinking they could reproduce the lightning they had in a bottle with Matthew/Woody but it just wasn't near as good. It's not terrible but it's def not in the same league as the first.

If you are interested, just watch the first season, you won't be disappointed.

Season 1 was driven by the acting and setting. Two outstanding lead performances amid a creepy southern gothic. Ultimately, I think it proved to be a little style over substance, but it was still really good.

Season 2 was truly awful. One of the worst seasons of TV I ever watched start to finish. The best thing about it was Colin Farrell's acting, which I think pretty well sums it up.

I don't know what to think about season 3, but this talk of "fantastic" and "terrific" scripts sounds a little desperate to me.
