Cox has it. We have it at work. $1200 per month for speeds slower than cable maybe 100mbps, I forget the speed. The price varies greatly on the speed. Minimum might be $600 per month. I forget how much the install costs. Not sure if they are hesistant to give it to every day consumers because of what they are making from businesses with it.

Is the market bad in NOLA because it's expensive to run utilities in general? Sounds like someone could come in and blanket the place with a wireless ISP. Unless there are problems with that, too (buildings, trees).
