Pitt's OL looks terrible. I think Canada needs to add some deep throws in there to keep the secondary honest.

Very Milesesque stat sheet
18 pass attempts - a lot of which were dink and dunk around the LOS
55 rushing attempts
Will the natives get restless? I'm glad you are posting these. People need to understand that Canada is not here to open up the LSU passing attack.
37 pass attempts against Clemson, 32 against Villanova, 29 against OSU, etc.
Canada adjusts the playcalling according to the opponent. UNC defense finished 109th against the run and 12th against the pass, hence the discrepancy.
You adapt the offensive gameplan around the opponent. Such a novel concept that we've been lacking in recent years.

Watching the Clemson game i cane away with a couple observations.
1) I don't think a Pitt WR made a single catch the entire game.
2) Connor had the best game of the 4 I've seen.
After seeing all the games I can't help but notice that Nathan peterman is an anomaly. At times he slips a rushers or stands in the face of pressure and delivers a strike that has you thinking that this kid is a stud. Then at other times, he misses wide open throws or tries to force it into coverage and you wonder how this kid is a D1 starter. It seems like he's best when improvising or executing a gimmick such as throw backs. When he is asked to stand in the pocket, he seems to have trouble finding open receivers. Maybe the WRs are to blame for not getting open.
I think Etling is better than peterman as a pocket passer and can have a lot of success in this offense. I also think our WRs will have greater success than Pitts rag tag bunch.

Who's our fastest OLineman? Two of those games had TD's to the big fellas.

The Vtech game is a good example of how attacking the perimeter early and often even with no success but it set up big plays over the middle
Posted on 7/26/17 at 3:34 pm to Fat Bastard
Bottom line is attacking the edge forces men away from the middle or from crashing it which was all u needed to do vs miles. That and go 2 deep S often. With guice Moreau and the rest of the backs and TE's teams will struggle defending them on those touches over the middle. U can bet they will get a lot of touches like that

I may be in the minority but I dont see this type of offense fooling a team of Alabama's quality. Looks gimmicky
Posted on 7/26/17 at 9:08 pm to shoelessjoe
Sure fooled the team the best Bama....

He's a beast and was even better before losing a season to a cancer diagnosis.

sophomore year but ever since that injury he hasnt looked the same. I too was surprised to see him drafted so early. He doesnt seem like an NFL back at all. He had awful combine numbers but he still got drafted very high. Ran a 4.65 40. No breakaway speed, on these films seems to go down on first contact a lot and sometimes his cuts just dont fool anyone.
Well it wasn't like he blew out an Achilles, the dude had cancer. He was still gaining strength back throughout the season.

Against Clemson their tight end has 9 receptions for 128 and 2 touchdowns. Holy shite!

Gimmicky is what kills bama. They do well against traditional and that's why lsu can never beat them

My take as well. The schemes were great but you have to have the talent and execution to make it work.
Also, from those tapes, man is it obvious the desparity between the ACC and the SEC excluding Clemson.

Every time I watch these videos I can't help but think, "Guice would've had about 5-10 more yards"...every time Connor runs the ball.
This offense is gonna be sick!

I loved the outside run to the tackle... What would that be called, Tank Sweep?
Posted on 7/28/17 at 1:58 pm to ElderTiger
Their(pitts) WR and oline did not look good and no where near the quality of what CMC has here.
