Impressive fact/stat findings but I do think that there is the potential of this effecting recruiting. Typically, WRs who carry the ball a lot are viewed as slot guys at the next level. LSU has had success in having receivers move on to the pro level and excel, and I'm not just talking OBJ or JL. IMO, if I'm a kid with pro aspirations I'd shy away from playing in an offense that didn't allow me to fully showcase my hands and route running and ability to create separation or beat press coverage in the SEC on a consistent basis. To find this type of player, you'd have to target a kid that was a RB in high school and recruit him as an ATH. Although LSU rarely play guys in the X position that are 6'3" or better, I don't think this style of play helps. From a fan perspective it doesn't bother me as long as it produces wins.
