Add a little context...
Pitt '16 had 91 rushes by WR (LSU=13)
Pitt was 62.6% rushes (LSU=60.6%)
Pitt had a total of 189 rec/comp (LSU=174)
Pitt ran 866 plays (LSU=757)
*did not adjust for 1 less game by LSU
What I glean from that... rather the sales points I would make to WRs using that info is that:
A) WRs were much more involved (total plays w/rushes & passes)
B) Canada is trying to get the ball in hands of playmakers
C) Because of the spread the ball around, you as a WR, have some distinct advantages. E.g. less bump and run and easier to get off the line.
There is a lot of truth to those. Not 100%. Nevertheless there's data to support the "sales pitches".
So no, I do not see them having issues convincing WRs. Sales pitch (A) is the big one.
ETA: thought of another pitch, to RB, QB, and WR that has a lot of truth to it...
"We run spread concepts". That's basically what Canada does, or has done at times (he's somewhat all over the place historically). Stretch field horizontally, get fastest players in space with ball. That's the objective. And if you're creative enough, and talented enough, you can do that from any formation and no matter the spacing on your linemen.

Does anyone expect this to go down this year with a hoss like Guice at Canada's disposal? Not talking forever, but this particular year? If anything I'd think LSU might be 65/35 run.
