Not necessarily. Getting 3b while keeping more control of the league would probably be favorable to what was proposed in this deal.

And there's nothing stopping them from making this same proposal 5 years from now.

The only reason Silvia brought this deal up is cause he is owner of a NASL team... he know he has no way of getting in to MLS ..so why not try and throw money at them... typical rich people .. I can't get what I want so let me throw money at them... I actually applauded MLS for saying no

Silva is really trying to do this to get his club in MLS. His $4b would let his Miami FC beat Beckham's Miami team into the league, and also allow Silva to decide how MPS games are televised. I just don't see how MLS could seriously entertain this proposal.
