Tent camping in Chattahoochee National Forest, Georgia

I'm planning on camping here this October. Currently looking at Cooper Creek Campground. Anyone camped here, or somewhere else in the forest? I'm planning on a Friday through Sunday trip. How early do I need to get here to grab a campsite?

Are you looking for a pad like that or do you just want to car camp in the woods?
Lots of spots on the forest service roads in that area that are a little more secluded

Look at Cloudland Canyon. Better view for fall colors. They have walkin areas away from car campers
