I can't get these shitty tvs we own to die so I can upgrade them
That's probably because they're not used everyday, but I've got TCLs and Hisense and other 200 dollar specials that just keep trucking along (including ones that see considerable outdoor use).
So OP, I'd definitely go bigger and just buy whatever is cheapest. Outdoor TVs should probably be thought of as disposable, but you may nonetheless get a long life out of one.
