Bertman knew how hard it would be on the next guy to replace Saban, he saw it firsthand with the Smoke hire.

Miles would have been the legend had Saban not come back to the SEC West.

Yep. Would've been national champs in 2011 and very likely repeated in 2012. Then who knows what happens after that without having all those years of recruiting against Saban.

Saban would have been an even bigger legend had he not gone down to South Beach and stayed at LSU.

How many NC's would we have won by now?
