Outstanding. I really think this is the best thing Nolan has done.

A lot of his movies try too hard at times with dialogue. This one is limited dialogue, and so much of this is told visually and with the score doing heavy lifting. Pay the extra money and see this in 70mm IMAX.

ETA: The pacing is by far the most impressive thing, though. I kept waiting for it to drop after the opening and it just is relentless. The score blends so well.

I loved it. I have never felt so desperate and hopeless in a movie before. When they had finally made it ashore and were on the train it still felt hard to believe it was over. I am not sure how I felt about that one kid dying, but I guess it was supposed to be a little more symbolic i.e. loss of innocence in war (something along those lines maybe?) Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this film.

I miss catchy scores instead of ones that have a constant hum of dread the entire time.
