Trump can play the classy President when he chooses to be. I have no doubt he'll be pure class during this, no sarcasm.

Not really. He's not going to kick a dying man.

Perhaps he will wish Lindsey Graham a speedy recovery?

He's not going to blast a potentially dying man. It certainly won't be a Joe Biden - Chuck Graham type moment.

It'll be nice, and it'll be fake

FWIW I think his insults are fake too

I don't think Trump cares either way

It's just going to be a standard sympathies statement.

"Melania and I send our thoughts and prayers to Senator McCain as well as his other half Miss Lindsey during this difficult time."

Right move is to support him. Regardless of his positions or his politics, I would hope any president would wish him and his family well and support him in this time of need. Not a time for politics.

All he needs to do is to wish him well, and maybe throw in a thank you for your service.

Politics are nasty, but most people, including Trump (I would hope), are able to put that aside for things like this.

I've been really busy at work lately and had no idea that we might actually be close to ridding ourselves of John McCain. Hope he recovers, but also retires.
