man after doing some research... i would like to get a maytag or samsung with couple bells and whistles but you read those reviews and its like DO NOT BUY etc etc
speed queen gets the job done from what you read but its just so basic looking

All the extra shite you see on the fancy ones break, and who's showing off their washing machine? You have yours in the middle of the living room or on the front porch? When we moved into our house 13 years we ago we bought the washer, a few years later we bought the dryer. In that time my sister in law has been through 2 front load washing machines, she just bought a Speed Queen set about 3 months and loves that it actually works.

It's a fricking washer/dryer. It's not a luxury item. The goal is to put dirty clothes in and get clean clothes out consistently for a long time, right?
These companies rely on stupid gimmicks such as electronics and useless fluff to reel in uneducated consumers.
These products have calculator quality chip boards in an appliance that has no need for electronics. If you make the mistake of buying one because it "looks cool" then that's on you
