Pressure washer help

My pressure started acting up this past weekend. If I let go of the trigger I have to wait 20-30 seconds before it will 'shoot' again. The engine sounds normal and I have normal pressure when it finally starts firing again. It's annoying as hell. The gun trigger doesn't feel quite right but then if there was a problem there seems like it would be more inconsistent with issues. It's almost like it has to build up pressure before it will shoot but then I'd think I would lose pressure while using it but I don't. I have no idea what's going on.

Without knowing the type of pump involved I would guess a problem with the unloading valve.

Make sure no debris in intake screen where hose valve is

Be very advised that jacking with trigger assembly while pump is running is dangerous

Is there water flowing from underneath? Google "thermal relief valve".
