My Echo is supposed to come in soon. Looking forward to hearing these responses.
I'm waiting on getting hue lights but at some point I think I'd like that feature.
I have speakers in every room of my house (ceiling speakers played thru a stereo) and I am currently working on a setup to try and get alexa to play over them. Read a review on a bluetooth transmitter/receiver that seemed to work. Basically add a bluetooth transmitter to the alexa and a bluetooth receiver to my stereo and attach them. If that works it will be 100% worth it just for that.

I'm pretty sure the Amazon Dot connects to Bluetooth stereos... may want to go that route. As for the smart home, I live in an apartment so I'm going to wait until I get somewhere where I will stay for a while before making that investment. Plus, technology will be way better and cheaper in a couple years.

Should have just gotten a dot. And I should've kept reading!
