I just got my Echo last week and lately have been using it for an alarm clock, to play music, to tell me my daily news, and to play Jeopardy.

What am I missing? What do yall use your Echo for?

Time, timer, weather, traffic are what I use it for most. I plan to eventually get something like a Harmony Hub so it can control watching TV. That's when it will be useful. I can't think of how many times I've been in another room and wanted to tell Alexa to pause the TV but she can't even though she should.

My Echo is supposed to come in soon. Looking forward to hearing these responses.

I'm waiting on getting hue lights but at some point I think I'd like that feature.

I have speakers in every room of my house (ceiling speakers played thru a stereo) and I am currently working on a setup to try and get alexa to play over them. Read a review on a bluetooth transmitter/receiver that seemed to work. Basically add a bluetooth transmitter to the alexa and a bluetooth receiver to my stereo and attach them. If that works it will be 100% worth it just for that.

I have 2 echo dots and a tap.

I cannot express enough how much I cannot wait until the echos support playing music in sync. There were rumors, but it has yet to come through

I have my dot in the kitchen and it's mostly for news and listening to music while I'm cooking.

I have an Echo dot and it makes things easier.

Set timer while I am cooking in the kitchen
Play playlists or specific songs on spotify
Pair/unpair with my soundbar for when I play music
Weather updates
commute updates
to do list/grocery list etc

Mine is in my kitchen. Being able to yell things like Alexa reorder trash bags or dishwasher detergent or laundry detergent or zip locks, etc... Is awesome.

So is being able to yell out grocery lists while I go through my fridge and pantry.

I also use it to set timers hands free while I cook. And play music.
