We fired Miles and replaced him with his D-line coach. Just let that sink in...LSU...in the SEC did that...

The answer is neither whether your dumbass hypothetical allows for it or not.

Clemson fired their coach and hired his WR coach. Clemson in the ACC did that. O may or may not fail but the fact that he was Les's d line coach does not have anything to do with that.

I really just wish we would let the man coach a game before we already chalk it up as a failure. The same people saying O will fail before he coaches a game are probably the same ones that say we should see Canada coach a game before we say he is the savior at OC.

And that D-line coach immediately made changes which improved the staff by firing Peveto and Cameron. The players to a man responded well to the change from Miles to Orgeron. The staff stayed intact with the exception of Dameyune Craig who was also let go but replaced with Tommy Robinson. Then to top it off Aranda chose to turn down Tom Herman (his college roommate) and stayed at LSU with Orgeron. Finally, Orgeron made a good hire for OC with Canada.

Do you honestly think all the guys on the LSU staff had no place else to go and stayed at LSU by default? Orgeron is respected by this staff and the players. He has a great staff. One of the finest in the country. All some of you see is Orgeron's Ole Miss years and ignore everything else. I honestly think Orgeron will be very successful at LSU.

Regarding the OP's question, the fact is that if Miles had stayed then Cameron and other coaches would still be here. More of the same.
